Dear Visitor to Our Website,
As the pastor of Healing Springs Baptist Church, I want thank you for taking the time to look around our website. It is encouraging to me to know that people care to check out a church's doctrine, affiliations, etc . before they visit. So I want to give you a few foundational purposes that guide us as a church.
The first of these purposes for existence as a church is glorifying God. Above all else, we desire to make much of God. This is done primarily through our collective worship and our focus upon obeying his Word.
The second foundational purpose is building up believers. When we gather together to focus on our heavenly Father, it draws us together as His family. The activity of fellowship before, during, and after a service helps us to encourage and pray for each other. Another key aspect to building one another up, is found in the emphasis on exegetical teaching and preaching of God's Word. This has the effect of building believers in the image of Christ as we conform ourselves to his inerrant Word.
Our third purpose, is evangelism of the lost. Since God's love has made a difference in our life by redeeming us from our sin, we realize the necessity to share that with our loved ones and neighbors. We also realize that there are people who need to hear about Jesus throughout the whole world. Therefore we strive to reach these lost people through praying, giving, and going on missions for God both locally and internationally.
Again, I am grateful that you've visited our website. It is my hope and prayer that you'll visit us in person at the next available worship service.
In Christ,
John Klink, Jr. - Pastor
